We will sell all the remaining antiques including the contents of the Camp David Museum; a Bear Skin rug shot by Herbert Hoover, There are several good antique and custom stained glass windows including early advertising. The 1925 B&O Railroad Caboose, a good oak Back Bar, a large pair of Apothecary jars dated 1891. Antique showcases, signs, lots of tables, Holiday decorations and much more.  There are 100′s of non-cataloged items. Antique to contemporary lighting, stained glass, farm and shop antiques, display items, baskets, tables, Cozy related material, far too much to list.

PLEASE NOTE: Sale begins at 1:00 PM with non-cataloged lots – at 2:00 PM we will sell the 80+ lots of better cataloged items followed by the remaining non-cataloged items. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this sale and the size of some of the lots ALL removal and shipping of items are the responsibility of the buyer! We recommend Craters and Freighters. However you are free to use any shipper you deem to be acceptable to you. FINALLY: There will be NO REMOVAL of fixed LIGHTING, fixed items i.e. BACK BAR, STAINED GLASS etc. until the sale is concluded

Founded by Wilbur Freeze in 1929 with three cottages, camp and tents it grew over the years to a multi-acre complex. The restaurant was stared in 1933 with a small lunch counter seating 20 people. Over the 85 years of family owned operation the Cozy has played host to Presidents, athletes, dignitaries and diplomats among other celebrities. The Presidential connection started with Herbert Hoover’s personal secretary Larry Ritchie who built a retreat in the Catoctin Mountains and also became close friends with the Freeze family.

The Cozy was also the home to the Secret Service during the Roosevelt administration when FDR stayed at his camp – Shangri-La.

A large selection of antique French Copper and Brass wear with some very interesting items. A Full Tiger and Zebra Skin, both with provenance, Buffalo Hide and other skins. Good Ethnographic material, Antique furnishings, decorative items and much more. Fine Porcelain and China. A very good and varied sale with items in almost every category.

A featured item is a very rare WWI Gurkha Regimental Drum, 1st Battalion, 10th Princess Mary’s Own Gurkha Rifles with Battle Honors including Gallipoli 1915, Suez, Egypt, and Afghanistan 1918-1919 (3rd Afghan Anglo War) plus more.


November 29th, 2014 Toys, Advertising, Carnival and Circus Items including 11 Sideshow Banners from an Indiana Collection – stored since the late 1990′s. A great collection of Homer Tate Gaffs from the Dorsey family. all were purchased from Tate in the late 1950′S and come with documentation – there are some very rare pieces in this group.
